Many people have salt sachets from takeaway food shops in their glove box for this very reason. That said, I thought the Vietnam jungle was way worse for leeches.

Australia has put all the onus on the platforms with its law. Of course there will be work arounds but the platforms are now incentivised to police rather than parents/children.

Yep, in the Australian law, the onus is all on the platforms, even if a parent conspires to help their child get onto banned sites. The sites have the tech, they have the profit margins - as far as the govt is concerned.
