MAGA forces don't want the mass hunger pains to stop, quite the opposite. The hangrier the populace is, the more they can direct their ire toward the Democrats, whom MAGA is trying to blame for the whole shutdown. Just another cruel example of MAGA's manipulation of the disadvantaged in America

I'm still new to it but I have a lot of travelling friends who have been doing it for years. Apparently, it's best to talk to each pet owner and they will let you know how long you can leave them, when to feed and play with them, etc. I have my first sit on Oct 23rd, so I'll let you know :-)
