Actual Person…
Love that…and still ‘A Show Band” solos featuring a bit for each of them…phenomenal stuff….you really should encourage your mate Ian Penman to write the definitive biography…as it is still to be written.. and he would do it best!

I remember the Aztec Camera show at Birmingham Odeon 1984 and Roddy played Jump….the outro Guitar solo nearly took the roof off the old place…..fabulous….

It was my point of entry for your work..that’s always special…it also fondly reminded me of Coming Up For Air…my favourite Orwell… possibly regarded as one of his runts as well…so I possibly have form in this area.

I have 001 👍…is there any value in this … will my great grandchildren be able to make a million Eurodollars in 100 years time?

Cheers Wayne…I enjoyed that piece. I always love deep dives into Lou Reed. I don’t disagree with any of your choices or thoughts… though I feel ‘Growing Up In Public’ is due for reappraisal. It’s like ‘Two Face’ where art house Lou and bar band Lou meet and more or less agree with each other.

Can’t wait to see this…Will it also focus on the wider Carpenter catalogue or just The Thing. Like Kubrick and Wes Anderson I feel JC’s work needs to be seen as a piece !
