Researcher at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in landscape ecology, mainly focusing on forest pests, such as bark beetles and reptiles and amphibians.
After the storm Johannes in Sweden 27 dec, we are in risk of large bark beetle infestations in 2027. Such northern outbreaks are poorly studied and although its catastrophic for many people, it will be really interesting to study the development of the outbreak. My map may reflect the suffered areas

How did your academic journey start? For me it was aquariums and terrariums as a kid. Now I am associate professor in biology. The Swedish authorities doesn’t like house pets and now they want to destroy that opportunity. You will need a ~1m2 terrarium at minimum, and not feed with live insects.

Me and my family is living in a old house. Today I got an old bible as a gift from a neighbor. We bought the house from A, and A bought the house from B, and Bs great grandfather was born in 1812, and moved to our house in 1846. It was his bible. I sense the tide of history.
