Today I found a keyhole in a wall.

Not in a door.

In a brick wall. Not obviously connected to anything.

This is, of course, very exciting.

TIL, courtesy of a @chrismcfeely.bsky.social video, that @kierongillen.bsky.social has written Death's Head comics, and the circle is now complete, yes?

This article is a long read about Tesla's general dodginess, but this paragraph really stood out to me.

When I'm driving, I'm the exact opposite: I assume that all drivers are idiots and that I'm surrounded by threats. I thought that was fairly normal. :D

@pentadact.com Scrivener went a bit mad with its spellcheck when I was writing this week, and inadvertently came up with some half-decent ideas for Tactical Breach Wizards character DLC.

Why is there not a dark mirror universe episode of Andor in which he meets his opposite, Nandor.

This chapter took a while to get out the door. It's a bumper-sized issue! Wish I could include stickers or a free chocolate bar like on the front of 1980s comics. simonkjones.substack.com/p/the-last-f...

Also I did this sketch. I like that the 'action' bucket looks like it's full of blood.

I was poking at my current serial to see how it shakes down in terms of its pacing and overall tone. It was quite a fun exercise! Needless to say, you generally don't want your buckets overflowing or running dry.

Watched Batman Begins with the 12 year old for the first time, and we were surprised to see Celebrimbor from Rings of Power show up. More odd was that his character in Batman Begins is talking about a powerful weapon he’d been involved with creating, which had been lost to the enemy…

Going back through old Lurker's Guide entries, can't help but notice mid-90s JMS patiently explaining that, yes, that sort of thing can happen in any country. *Especially* if you think it could never happen.

It was no longer just my own enthusiasm. I had the enthusiasm of active readers! This was a game changer.

Didn't matter how shiny idea 2 was: I had made a commitment to my readers. Their enthusiasm kept me going.
