Reading police logs always makes me imagine an Owen Cook strip to accompany it

Shame, would have liked volume two of that!

Is that “Up and Down with the Rolling Stones” retitled or is it a whole different book?

Fantastic record, seems to somewhat get overlooked in the annals of rock/country crossover compared to Sweetheart of the Rodeo etc

I have a fondness for the 1973 reunion album as well, even though Laughing and Full Circle had been recorded elsewhere and better.

Have you ever been inside the Laurieston? The interior is perfectly preserved from the 60s, horseshoe bar and all. pubgallery.co.uk/pubs/lauries...
Laurieston Bar, Glasgow - Pub Gallery
Photos and description of the Laurieston Bar, Glasgow, an exceptional survivor, one of very few pubs anywhere with a 1960s decor.

There’s a bit in the recent Devo documentary where the show a montage of old photos from when Mark and Jerry were at university, was disconcerting seeing Mark with waist length Weird Al Yankovic hippie hair which is totally at odds with his image for the last 50 years

Considering Andy McCluskey’s cameo in Head On with Anarchy in the UK he already had form for the odd unexpected cover (despite the Leo Sayer hair)

I think the Victor Lewis Smith sketch was probably a parody of the Spike Milligan one rather than a parody of Doctor Who directly.

No Gareth Hunt, no deal.

Strangely enough there was a similar prop mentioned in the screenplay for Murphy’s Law but Robert F Lyons got them to delete that part, maybe it was an in joke at Canon - see Bronson’s Loose Again by Paul Talbot.

One thing I loved about this was that the alternate history in The Grasshopper Lies Heavy isn’t our timeline either, tricky customer that PKD guy.

Just ask him to send you the isolated vocals and tell him you’ll sort it for him, bit of Polymoog Vox Humana, job done!

Even though I prefer the cut of the film without the studio stuff, it’s pretty great in its own right - the bit where they’re (re)creating On the Run on the EMS synth, the bit with the pie crust, Dave’s insincere “you can trust us…”

Could displace “Sir Anthony” in Cockney rhyming slang.

His playing on Levitation and Zones is great, particularly like Running Through the Back Brain, shame it didn’t work out for them.
