They can redact and play games but it doesn’t change the fact that the President of the United States is a child rapist.

Does anyone remember the late great Jerry Pournelle's Chaos Manor blog? He entertained interesting debates on whether the USA should be a Republic or Empire. Someone can correct me if I get this wrong but his view was, either way, it should at least be competent. Right now Trump would be Nero.

Being an Irish citizen and resident, I have an outsider's view of the USA. Many Americans abhor what is going on in and around the current administration. However separating the USA from Trump is impossible in matters of foreign policy. The USA is as presented by insane stories like this.
Senators freeze Coast Guard admiral’s promotion over swastika, noose policy
Adm. Kevin Lunday had condemned both symbols and directed they be prohibited, but a new workplace harassment policy downgrading them to “potentially divisive” was allowed to take effect.

Clearing a clogged and flooded foul line in the pouring rain is a marvellous way of focusing one's mind. And the hot shower afterward is even better.

The foul line is still flooded, so I will have further opportunities to marshal my thoughts.

Someone left 5 boxes of chocolates in the local hospital during the week, left specifically for ‘Nurse XXXXX with the lovely red hair.’ Nurse XXXX being the daughter, of course. Proud dad!

Gosh, if there were only an injection or something to prevent this. (For the record, I've had almost every damn vaccine you can think of, because I travel a lot. Also annual COVID-19 and Winter Flu shots. Bring 'em on.)

They have got Kneecap's Mo Chara in court for waving a flag in 3 weeks.

But it has been 5 years and Michelle Mone is still wandering about scot-free, while the people who murdered 72 at Grenfell are laughing after 8 years knowing they will never face justice.

The Express nails it:

"While Mo Chara stands in the dock for allegedly waving a flag, those complicit in a genocide walk the streets untouched."

For those with eyes to see, the case surrounding Mo Chara only makes one side look unreasonable.

Charlotte Church being a boss as usual 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Charlotte Church sang From the River to the Sea at a fundraising event for Palestinians and now all the usual people are screaming antisemitism and trying to cancel her.

RT if you stand with Charlotte Church and Palestine.

The controversy surrounding the Irish rap band has obscured deeper questions about power, conflict and resistance, but they won't go away, writes Toner Quinn.

Thanks to my friend Harriet for pointing out that the women went to Christ's tomb and saw he was not there, the angels showed up to describe what happened, & the women then told the apostles, who dismissed them. A Biblical account of women not being believed.
