I always turn off desktop & documents for iCloud. Working with huge video files don’t make it practical.

I see it many times because I edit 4K videos on Final Cut at coffee shops and using BetterDisplay to make the display go 1000nits.

Why they removed the Apple logo from the bottom?!
March 8, 2025 at 9:53 AM
Did that thing existed?!
February 26, 2025 at 6:08 PM
I can’t because I have old devices on my account that don’t support it. And of course I want those devices on my account.

I like how smooth the app feels on iPhones with ProMotion! It is true 120Hz! Very few apps are like that. Like the old Twitter!

So your iPhone display is on every night all along?!

That’s great!

If this thing had been released as a “Mac Studio” mack then, with slightly lower specs and lower price, it would have been a very good product!
January 5, 2025 at 2:06 PM
This is a relatively new feature (released with macOS Monterey 12.3 and iPadOS 15.4 back in 2022) and it isn’t have to do with the mouse itself but with macOS and iPadOS themselves. You can use the feature with any Mouse/Keyboard. You can even drag n drop files between the two devices too!

I don’t think iOS 18 is buggy in general. Everything runs smoothly since iOS 18.1. The delayed release of AI features is a different conversation tho.

Even newer ones like the latest models of iPod Classic from 2009 had spinning HDDs inside!
December 7, 2024 at 2:19 AM
Don’t the iPod has a hard reset feature like iPod Touch or iPhone?
December 7, 2024 at 2:16 AM
I think with 3-4 tweaks can be very good!

If you want, you can copy some photos/videos from the Photos app to the Files app or vise versa, but the two of them are in a different “directory” in the system and serve different needs.
November 30, 2024 at 3:36 AM
The Files is an app about managing any type of file (like pdfs etc) with traditional folders etc. it can also read and write to external storage.

Photos app on the other hand is the app where photos and videos you record/download are stored and it isn’t connected to the Files app.

It works very well. I have installed macOS Sequoia on several old iMacs with OLP.
November 26, 2024 at 10:55 AM
You can use Open Core Legacy Patcher and install the latest version of macOS natively!
November 26, 2024 at 10:13 AM
I think Bluesky uses the same engine/source code as the old Twitter app because it is again one of the few apps on iOS that is running very smoothly at full 120Hz, like Twitter was for a while! Is it true?
November 25, 2024 at 6:19 PM
Just press Option/Alt and you will see that the “Open With” menu changes to “open by default” or something similar. The app you click there would be set as the default app for the particular filetype.
