@joy.msnbc.com this was from an Apalachee HS parent’s Snapchat earlier today. Allegedly another student brought a gun to school after a student was arrested earlier this week for possessing a gun at this school. What are we doing here??

@joy.msnbc.com yesterday’s Apalachee HS gun incident came about when the 14 yo was bumped into by another student in a bathroom. He pulled the gun and pointed it at the other student’s chest. The victim told his aunt and she reported to authorities. This could’ve easily been another dead child!

@joy.msnbc.com A small group of Apalachee HS parents have been pressuring the Barrow County BOE to mandate metal detectors in all Barrow County schools. The Board has adamantly opposed. Today an Apalachee student was escorted out after handgun was discovered inside the school.
