I knew all this was going to happen. But nothing can really prepare you for what it feels like when the moment actually arrives. This is why we need each other and our communities. I plan to turn to them a lot in the coming years.

I was crushed that MLK Day landed on Inauguration Day.
Now I know that it is a gift.

Dr. Martin Luther King is a brilliant light on this profoundly dark day.

He illuminates our path forward with hope, as we embrace his teachings of love, diversity, & unity.

He fuels our collective strength.

MLK knew all about sacrifice, and experienced a great deal of personal pain as a result prior to his death.

On the same day I went to the Jimmy Carter Library I also went to the resting place of Dr. King. Both were awe inspiring.
