Had to give my 80 year old husband instructions on how to boil eggs. This was a supreme exercise in patience. I’m 77 and have boiled a lot of eggs in my life. Realizing that for me this was automatic but for him it was new. His eggs were perfect.

I’m 76 years old and have lived in New Orleans most of my life and I have never seen this amount of snow. It looks like a blizzard here. Can tell where the streets are and idiots are out sightseeing and ending up in a ditch. Louisiana isn’t know for its intelligent population.😬

Been sick with grunge for the last 2 weeks. Xmas is just a week away. Where did 2024 go. It started so positive and now we all will be living in the 8th circle of hell for next four years.

DOES ANYBODY MAKE A DAMN TOASTER THAT DOESN’T BURN YOUR BREAD ON ONE SIDE AND BARELY TOAST THE OTHER SIDE. On the other hand the raspberries on my yogurt are especially tasty this morning. Whew now I can start the day out right.🤪

My engineer husband insisted that we didn’t need the second turkey that we have always had at these big family Thanksgiving. Get a ham, he says, and we’ll have enough. There isn’t a crumb of turkey left.
We’re known for our fabulous turkey dude we need the second turkey. No hot turkey sandwiches!😭

Niece and Aunt texted me to say they’re coming early to help. Where the fuck were you a week ago when help was needed. Everybody says that and then they show up and need breakfast. My dream Thanksgiving is where we dress up and go to a beautiful restaurant meal.🫠

Honestly, after all the prep work for feeding and entertaining 22 relatives; I just as soon hug and kiss them and then go to sleep. Clean up the kitchen and lock the door. Love seeing you all. See you in two years.😵

Making progress on Thanksgiving menu. Stuffing made, gravy made, gumbo for Wednesday night dinner, bread and tomorrow desserts. The rest for Thanksgiving morning plus contributions from the kids.22 relatives 😵💫

I’m in Thanksgiving mode. Made 10 pounds of cornbread and sausage dressing last weekend.This weekend I’m making lots of gravy and gumbo made some dinner rolls fortunately I’ll be getting lots of help this week.The menu keeps expanding because my kids want the same thing every year but new also.

I woke up this morning because the house smelled like it was on fire. First thought was can I run out the house in my Jammie’s. Then I realized the heat must have come on. Then the gun shots started, are we at war? Oh hunting season. What a way to wake up.☹️
