Bryan Cranston had been a sitcom dad and a frequent guest star on the likes of Murder She Wrote, so a familiar face, but probably not a household name, no.

ITC in the 60s is basically a repertory theatre - oh look, this week it's Robert Urquhart, Fulton Mackay, Geoffrey Balydon, Justine Lord, Ann Bell and Gillian Lewis, etc.

Also Harry McGraw from Murder She Wrote. One of my favourite Murder She Wrote facts is that Angela's three semi-regular guest stars - Orbach, Keith Michell, and Len Cariou - also starred with her in long Broadway runs - Sweeney Todd, Camelot, and A Little Night Music...

I was born in Buckinghamshire and grew up in deepest rural Sussex. As I noted elsewhere, I had several "aunts" who were old friends, former colleagues (and possibly ex-girlfriends) of my grandfather. Anyone pretending this is anything other than normal is doing it on purpose.

I grew up *in the UK* with several 'aunts' who were old friends, former colleagues, and possibly ex-girlfriends of my grandfather. Anyone pretending this is something odd or disqualifying is being deeply disingenuous (or worse)...
