Retired school office manager, trying to be more of an old lady in a van. She’s called Dory.
I was just wondering about Trull waterfall. Have you been to have a look?

We did haggis neeps and tatties last night too. I just bunged a tot of whisky into the gravy.

I bet they called it Teenmowth too instead of Tinmuth 🙄

Two carveries for £24 at our local.

You obviously met at primary school right?

Please don’t use female euphemisms. They are dicks, knobends or pricks.

What a splendid idea. I wish I had thought of that.
I’ve lit some candles now.

I think you might find that actually we do. It’s what Blue Sky is all about, and Michael would encourage you to embrace that.

Yes I am

I’m keeping mine going right up to 12th night. It’s just too pretty to get rid of.

Wow that’s a big job. Google seems to be entwined in most of my apps.

Actually it was Bruton not Frome. “At the Chapel”

I had a lovely butternut squash, chestnut and sage soup in a restaurant in Frome. It was very smooth, quite salty and subtly festive.

I thought it died?

I was born on the same day as Bono. My husband took me to Dublin for my 50th birthday so beforehand I tweeted about it to Bono and suggested that we meet for a shared birthday pint of the black stuff in a pub by the Liffey.
He didn’t show up.
I never liked him anyway.

Ah yes I know that antibiotics can cause problems. We all avoid them as much as possible and our GPs are very good at not prescribing them unless absolutely necessary. We have had a “wait and see” prescription so if the problem clears up in the following 24 hours or so we don’t start taking them.

No, daughter and grandson still have theirs.
My husband had his out in his 40s after the children were born.
But mine must have been removed with my colon when I was 25. Before children.
I’ve not heard that that was a thing!

She’s using oat milk but has to order a certified GF one online!
But we had a totally GF and mainly DF Xmas and Boxing Day without too much trouble. It just takes a bit of planning doesn’t it.

Oh and daughter is allergic to celery and strawberries!

Neither her dad or I are dietary restricted in any way. Makes you wonder where it all came from.
December 27, 2025 at 8:40 PM
My daughter is coeliac and her little boy (20 months, still breastfeeding) has a cows milk intolerance and is allergic to eggs!
But at least we can all eat nuts! (As long as not “may contain”!)
Challenging but not impossible.

Thank you. Always looking for ways to identify special versions and avoid cross contamination 😊
December 27, 2025 at 8:30 PM
Out of interest, how do you mark the one that is also DF?
December 27, 2025 at 8:24 PM
That sounds like an excellent plan.
December 23, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Is there such a thing as “enough cheese”?
I’m not convinced.
