Now I don't want to say anything about women drivers, but unfortunately the driver who causes the towering inferno (see what I did there?) in this episode does not do much to disprove that stereotype.

Still, it's a fine example of Darwinism on display here!

This may be what the kids call a "Hot Take", but I think Eric Idle would actually be a good Doctor.

I've not seen this episode, but having delved into the behind-the-scenes aspect of it, I'm disappointed we didn't get the Harryhausen-esque giant crustacean, tarantula and reptile in place of the Komodo dragons.

If only Lew Grade was willing to fork out a bit more money...

The Talking Plushies say the same phrases as the Action Figures, and they are as follows:

Captain Thrice
Roger
Isambard
Lyca
Sir Squeakalot
Sproggle
Princess Astra
Dr. Agon
Short Fred Ledd

Dr. Agon (who comes with his falcon, Trump)
Donald (another character we thought of. He is one of Dr. Agon's 1001 Unseen Slaves, who now joins Dr. Agon and Trump in their nefarious schemes)
Short Fred Ledd (who comes with his parrot, Tin Lizzy)

Princess Astra (a character we came up with for our second series. She is a young but feisty princess from 500 years ago, who joins the crew when they rescue her from an enchanted slumber she was cast into.)

The Action Figures are:

Captain Thrice (who comes with the Paradox Playset along with his Walking Stick)
Roger
Isambard
Lyca
Sir Squeakalot
Sproggle

Each Action Figure has a chip in their feet to plug into the 4 ports on the Playset, which are on the Flight Deck, Sproggle’s navigation console, the Kitchen and the Engine Room. Each separate Action Figure has 4 different phrases that they say whenever they’re plugged into the port.

A Lavender Castle Paradox Playset, Action Figures and Talking Plushies by Born to Play (who were Entertainment Rights' toy division).

I know this is slightly bending the rules a bit, as they don't exist (yet), but a few years ago, my friend Jack Williams and I came up with the idea that, if Lavender Castle did get a second series, it would probably have had a toy line to go with it. And this is what we came up with:

My favourite is "Raptures of the Deep". I don't exactly know why, but maybe it's because you hear Marina for the first time, or you get Troy singing the beautifully haunting Aqua Marina (courtesy of Gary Miller).

I do wonder just what is going on inside that subconscious of Troy's though...

DO IT.

(Could I write scripts for it, lol)

I want to see this episode, like, NOW! 👏

Well done mate!

Better yet...

I haven't sat down and watched this film properly - but I'd be interested in what the other six episodes Gerry and George Heinemann planned would have been like.

If the series was designed to teach children about science through adventure, what other scientific concepts would we have learnt about?

"Ah, you're right there, Ted"

Well, if we're going with the 2000s era that it would've been produced in...

Joe - Daryl Sabara (I know he's American, lol)
Mac - Tim Curry
Sam Loover - Alan Cumming
Shane Weston - Cheech Marin
Mrs. Harris - Billie Whitelaw

Of course, after the "Good Luck Henry" party, there's bound to be the sight of him going "The BASTARDS!! How dare they sack me?! I'M HENRY SELLERS!!", with a bottle of Jacob's Creek in one hand.

The lyric refers to 10-67, a police radio code used to notify death - and the lyric itself is Skrilla's omniscient narrator playing innocent during a traffic stop - which also lines up with the other lyrics describing gun violence.

See? I'm down with the kids 😉

I can help with this.

There's a song called "Doot Doot" by a rapper called Skrilla, in which he raps "I know he dyin' (oh my, oh my God) 6-7, I just bipped right on the highway". It's used a lot on TikTok for video edits of basketball players, like LaMelo Ball, who is - you guessed it - 6 foot 7.
