tend to procrastinate on a lot of creative experiences and immersion and it's a cycle that feeds into not being able to create at a satisfactory level because you have nothing to draw from

i think part of why my writing is the way it is, is because it's a product of the things i've read before and also how i stopped writing for a long while. even the fact that i stopped makes up a part of my style--maybe it looks dated to some, or the tropes feel uncool now

i can write *fictional* m/m and be a feminist *in real life*. it's not hard & the ppl who make such arguments online seem to have difficulty separating fiction from real life morality, wc bleeds into other issues like censorship

which is also misogynistic in itself bc we're perpetuating the idea that women = angelic or pure when there are lots of women with less than--

i've seen 2 threads today about "is it misogynistic to write m/m" and i'm just. i don't think we had these problems back in the day. recently there's just too much policing, censorship, and moral posturing. exhausting

i'm less affected abt these kinds of threads rn than i was a few wks ago, tho

put down the "common fanfic tropes you don't like" "fanfic pet peeves" threads. put it down. you don't need to read them. their opinion doesn't matter. (shakes your shoulders) (by "your shoulders" i mean my own shoulders)
