It also looks a lot less dizzingly high than the bridge near Booterstown Ave .... Surprising that the Galway plan doesn't include bridges, given the number of bridges on Dublin roads built when, I think, we had less money.

3 The report mentions mother's going in a holiday while their children were looked after in the hostel. The attitude to mothers and babies was seen as an example of how to treat people with dignity and respect that other homes could follow. Physical conditions should have been better, clearly.

2 Mothers are quoted as preferring it because they were free to be themselves, have a smoke, make a cup of tea. Children were happy - some accidents recorded occurred because children were allowed to be children in a place where boiling water and cooking could be an issue.

1 The Legion of Mary wanted to provide for mothers and their children, ensure they could raise them. The report rightly highlighted criticism of Frank Duff's stubborn fixation on volunteerism casting problems for the provision of consistent health care and quarantining, proper funding and buildings

I taught in an autism class, in a school with 4 classes for 3 years, about 19 years ago, we had access to an SLT, had a rhyme for speech. Last 10 years as a Mum wondering why advice in support for autistic or dyspraxic students is so limited, doesn't even mention tongue twisters, or other methods

Support includes mindset - even those with 'support' may struggle if it is inappropriate, if they are underestimated, if they are micromanaged, if they are misunderstood, if mutual understanding between peers is not facilitated, and it may take a very long time for them to be OK if this happen
