Dispensing Chemist, if you don't mind!

Actually we used to have lots of Chemists in the UK (e.g. Boots the Chemist, which is a shop, and now just called Boots) - now they are all nearly called pharmacies.

*Sigh*

We're in a 1860s terrace, with a London garden (i.e. postage stamp at the back) + about a yard of hand standing in front of the house before the pavement, the lower floor being 1/2 basement. Our gas boiler is c.1' wide, 1'5" tall, + about 8" deep, in a cupboard against an outside wall. Non-starter.

These are all far too neat, clean, and freshly painted.
Come to Merseyside on a 1st January (yep, it was actually a 'sunny' day) and feel the bracing Irish Sea wind exfoliating your face with gusto.

Too many tech boi billionaire preppers have bought up vast swathes of NZ already - who wants to live near that lot?
(Sorry to our chums over there.)

Currently a third of the way through Bee Speaker by Adrian T (@aptshadow.bsky.social) - I hope that's not where we are heading.

Barely above min wage!

I think it's only the bar that has the tiles. Haven't been inside for years - these were taken in 2015 (the lighting inside is poor, the best shot is the vestibule as it's lighter but reflective).

Do you mean the one in Chiswick with the fabulous, original William De Morgan tiles?

(shameless plug for WDM there)

One of my favourite films.

James' stories feel pretty timeless.

The 1970s Lawrence Gordon Clark BBC version of Lost Hearts (and others) is also excellent.
