@sinkchaote.bsky.social
I'm Justin, a chaos witch who loves to craft sigils, read tarot, infuse whimsy, and accumulate knowledge. This is the account where I post about that sort of thing.
You can find my main account with the rest of my thoughts (dumb) here: @sinkcat.bsky.social
Thanks! I wondered if that was it in the alt text, or if it was just a fun tag for doing tarot on a Monday 😆

Can I ask what deck this is? I really like the minimalist art style

oh hell yeah! we love that

What a shitty, miserable, attention-seeking person with zero hobbies and therefor zero reason for anyone to be interested in them. A person craving social connection, but too toxic to know how to find it naturally, and probably too emotionally stunted to recognize that underlying need.

I never did anything with my goodreads, so I'm manually entering most of the books I own 🙃
I feel like the pseudo-social media aspect will actually get me to read more, because people can see it and I am a Gemini lmao

thanks for turning me on to this!

Jesus, were people being shitty?? I'm so sorry, and for your loss.

Thank you! I've found that spending the time and focus on turning sigils into digital art and layering symbols within has been a pretty good way to charge them with energy. :)

I don't read nearly as often as I used to, but I just made one of these because maybe it will make me read more again

I never used an ounce of twitter either, but I love those words. I think they're stupid/funny, which is most of my personality anyway.

That said, I do think something I want to work on this next year is using less supplicating language and presupposing that I'm the one who doesn't know what I'm talking about, or that I'm inconveniencing other people in more situations, especially at work.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you! I do want more Hine, and hadn't heard of the others you mentioned.

For how into semiotics I am, I own remarkably few books on it, so adding this to the list for sure! It sounds very interesting.

Good stuff! I need solid magickal reference books as reference books are some of my favorite to pick through, and ancient forms of magick and their modern applications have always been really interesting to me.

Chaos by Gleick is fantastic, and I *should* own it, and the Invisibles has been on my list for years! I have heard of a couple of the others you mentioned, but haven't read any of them, so adding them to the list.

Those were both my introduction as well, and still my favorites, though I really liked 10 when I got around to it

My partner has their own collection as well, which is more extensive than mine, but skews more toward green witchcraft and Wicca, which is interesting and useful to me, but I like to diversify, and am not interested in a singular path.

Good to know! And definitely--I've been trying to grow my smallish occult library into a mediumish occult library, and am always on the lookout for actually interesting books that will add value.

I've just added the Engineering of Coincidence to my cart as well. I love magick presented through a scientific lens, and have my own theories about how entwined it is with quantum physics, so this also sounds straight up my alley.
