Saw The Mars Volta again, and Lucro sounded great with the extended jams. I had also never been to Jannus Live before. I look forward to seeing more shows there, but I can't even imagine how hot it must get during summer shows.

A friend recommended #abrightersummerday to me during the height of COVID and it took me about five years to watch it, and I surely waited too long. What a masterwork and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a film quite like it.

I know it can be overwhelming when you open your CD carrying case because there are so many CDs in there. How do you know which one to choose? Relax. Close your eyes and just point to a CD and wherever your finger lands that's the CD you're supposed to listen to

Brazil is the movie that basically called what the future would look like: it’s crass, materialistic, everything runs like shit, the people in power are authoritarian buffoons, and it sort of limps on despite the fact that it should fall apart.

The first film I watched in 2025 was #y2k. Before seeing it, I read numerous negative reviews, and they echoed my own feelings about the movie. It seemed unoriginal and uninspired, and the jokes didn’t land for me. However, I thought Fred Durst was great in his role

Some of my favorite movies of 2024 (in no particular order) are: The Zone of Interest, Challengers (what a knockout score by Reznor/Ross), Civil War, Longlegs, The Wild Robot, Flow (maybe my favorite of the year), and Nosferatu.
