It's very odd to ship real life people. Fictional characters, however? Nothing wrong with that. Fictional characters aren't real, they don't have feelings except what feelings the writer grants them to have, every breath, every thought and spoken word is created by a writer.

The irony of it being the same man who said something the lines of not writing poc characters because any role that doesn't inherently require a poc actor is inherently a white role. 🙄 He's been a hell of a disappointment to say the least.

This is actually the key to it right here. Everyone has a right to maintain their own boundaries and currate their own internet experience based on those boundaries. Where it crosses a line is where you actively choose to harrass those who engage in darkships. It's the harrassment that's the problem

100%. There are way too many men who live in the headspace that women are the default caretakers. In 2025, I feel like we should be well past this as a society, but here we are 🙃
