yeah. I think that for the most part kids will mostly interact with nice people. and if you live in a nice place they will mostly see that world borne out at the local level. But what do you do about the constant background noise of cartoonish evil. i think about this a lot as we ponder having kids

a polite fiction we often raise our children with is "people are kind and want what's best for other people" so it's hard to set this example personally when there is a highly visible flock of sociopaths in charge of everything who face no consequences for being evil shitheads
