If Your Party either essentially get nothing done, and Sultana drops out, and they don’t provide any new comedy value, and can’t be used to get at the whole of the left, then yes, Your Party will be irrelevant.

Your Party is not an Anarchist collective. There will be strong elements whose ideology is state control of everything (Sultana is the key player here, backed by SWP etc).
November 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM
The collective will need to be very transparent and accountable, not just to members, but on general. If it goes SWP style, there will at least be multiple conspiracy theories as to what is really happening, and fallout from that.
November 30, 2025 at 12:58 PM
Ah yes, I haven’t seen the margin, I was expecting things to be close and not particularly decisive, then fallout from that over the legitimacy. Which could undermine any decisions the collective makes.

Oh dear.

Specific study of historical figures, is unnecessary. It can be problematic and lead to over intellectualising, students set on a course, attached to the past. People, relationships, now is more important
November 30, 2025 at 12:45 PM
It was bound to be collective leadership at this stage, since no one trusts anyone to be leader of Your Party. It will be an interesting experiment.
November 30, 2025 at 12:42 PM
Overall responsibility would be Corbyn’s as whether he wanted it or not, he was leader. Blame though is with essentially everyone.
November 30, 2025 at 12:35 PM
Except not. They are going with The SWP model of a Central Committee I think. So most likely no public leader and a supposedly member driven layer of leadership plus a hidden hierarchy
November 30, 2025 at 12:33 PM
Unless one of the main reasons for Your Party not going well was The SWP

George Galloway’s former campaign manager is her ‘aide’?

Huh?
November 30, 2025 at 12:45 AM
Wait… Zarah Sultana, the sole registered MP for Your Party, boycotted her own conference, because they wouldn’t let George Galloway’s former campaign manager in?
November 30, 2025 at 12:44 AM
James Giles who was on Radio Sputnik and Russia Today?

Corbyn’s method of leadership: Call sitting on the fence, “Unity” and “Democracy”, do not lead, sit on fence hoping to maximise votes, instead stand for nothing, lose support from all sides, fail, blame it on someone else
November 30, 2025 at 12:35 AM
Also though, I rarely encounter any change that is unpredictable. Which is really annoying as I hate wasting effort on predicting/hypervigilance given ultimately shit happens regardless. It is useful for steering myself through things quicker though
November 30, 2025 at 12:24 AM
Personally I like change. Change is life. What I don’t like is badly managed change, that messes me up emotionally and causes harm.
November 30, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Quite possibly. It’s a lot of clutter, and in many cases, the larping is essentially avoidance behaviour. As is over intellectualising about long dead 20th Century German philosophers etc. All talk and no feeling.
November 30, 2025 at 12:19 AM
Capitalist Realism is definitely not my ideology
November 30, 2025 at 12:11 AM
I’m an optimist, that means I seek to make the best decisions I know how to at present, and I do my best to make them.

That’s it. The best I can do.
November 30, 2025 at 12:10 AM
I don’t have a realistic complete alternative. I have an ideology but its personal, has no inherent method of relatively quick revolution, best I can do is live my life in the healthiest way I can, take part when I can (voting Green). I can’t really change much
November 30, 2025 at 12:03 AM
Yep. I am still not sure what has actually happened to Surkov. Given he had such a big role with Putin then suddenly seemingly not
