just to make a point I just did this in a VM.
- from a 25H2 ISO you can get directly from Microsoft’s site (it doesn’t have Enterprise, but it has Education)
- Education edition comes with an option to use a local account without having to wrestle the installer

Followed an episode of Joy of Painting in XP’s version of Paint.
Since Bob’s technique don’t really apply, I had to improvise quite a bit.
The result isn’t a masterpiece, but it looks like something! And it was really fun and relaxing to make.

I’ve been drawing little guys with my mouse on mspaint lately
I’m not much of an artist in general but idk. I delete most of them but I felt enough inspiration to put some effort in this one and I thought he looked funny

If anybody here has an old Acer Aspire 5738Z or similar and if by miracle you never wiped the original hard drive, I would like to help you dump and upload the recovery partition that can restore the OEM Windows Vista/7 installation. If you think you can help, hmu! Reposts welcome #retrocomputing
