Why would you assume there isn't more to be done b/c of a simple act of cheer leading? How does "Proud of Illinois" indicate there's nothing left? That's just odd. There's a disconnect here that says more about the person disconnected from the essence of the original comment.

And the situaton is that there's nothing to be proud of. There's a certain disconnect witth people who refexively oppose simple cheer leading. The Illinois Gov is under fire. I spoke to the Illinois Gov to encourage him. I was told there was nothing to be proud of.

How does saying I'm proud of the state directly to the gov. get translated into something other than a call to action? There's a massive disconnect which isn't supported by rational thinking.

It was a direct contradiction. I was interested in the motivation; as, since I said in my reply to the first person if you don't see what there is to be proud then...and btw if talking and posting won't stop this -- is that directed at me? Your perception that I am limited to talking and posting?
