As I've said elsewhere, I think that Durkheim gets his idea of organic and mechanical solidarity backwards. He needs to be stood on his head as far as his conceptuality goes. From this I would posit that social dynamics are organic and societal dynamics are mechanical(very much hive mind based)

The Christian Deconstruction movement is quite interesting. It seems to be the generational successor in the Trump age to New Atheism in the Bush 2 age with more open ended upside(not being limited to atheism) My Hope is that these ladies don’t go leftist puritan wokescold like Rebecca Watson.

The cleave between the official left and the altleft really comes down to an emphasis difference between post-ww2 consensus universalist anti-fascism and particularist sensitive anti-imperialism. Both would say the opposing group allows creep in of either imperialism or fascism. I reject them both.

It's hilarious to see Megyn Kelly and other Trumptards become more libertarian on the age/sex question for purely cynical reasons. The liberals and leftists are of course taking the paternalistic route on age and maturity. I happen to agree with MK on the age issue but she is not worth defending.

What's really fucked up about anti-imperialists/zionists like Glenn Greenwald is that they are against these things to such pathlogical degrees that they are willing to play footsy with structural elements of antisemitism. I'd like Israel to be White South Africa'd away to, but do it the right way.

I actually miss Dr Bones. He was entertaining and one of the few leftists that was a good telegenic speaker. He had communist-egoist views that were inherently incongruent but there were good ideas there. He was cancelled during the peak of cancel culture for BS METOO reasons.

There's going to coming a point where humanism comes to an end. It will take on different reactions within different strains of ideology. When you look at a group like ITS, they are what happens when Greta gives up on humanism and goes into dark mode.

What the Graham Platner affair seems to show is that the left is mostly done with cancel culture. Platner is giving red-brown vibes which are not cool with me, but I'm glad that the leftist cancel complex seems to be coming to an end.

I can't help but think that Hasan may end up being the next Russell Brand when it comes to the left and celebrity. There's a lot of things about that guy that many leftists just sweep under the rug(as was done with Brand by the likes of Mark Fisher and others).

What is far more important then political organization is having a social imaginary. It is the foundational upstream to the further downstream that is politics. Right now the right has a newer and more effective social imaginary than the left.

Modernity and The Enlightenment should not be seen as synonymous in my view. The former represents a totality of categorical control and rationalized systems of domination. The latter was an authentic break from a christian iron curtain with very Luciferian tendencies.
