Getting out of the first cave and seeing limgrave, getting through stormveil and seeing liurnia, and leaving the cave to see the land of shadow are all absolute peak experiences. No game has ever felt so massive to me

Could maybe also have your characters sword heat up and glow as they get closer to getting stance broken. That way, you get a visual cue centre screen without it adding a ton of UI stuff

I've been slowly playing through Hollow Knight for the first time, and the only thing I find "too hard" is some of the platforming where it just starts to feel soul crushing after failing and running back 5 times to free a worm or something. I don't really know how an easy mode would fix that for me

I think if the storm ruler thing didn't make you immune to the projectiles, it could actually be a really good fight, but it's so unbelievably free when all you have to avoid is the big waves and the beam.
