Back in '21, on the other place, I started to conceive a format called "Skald" where your commander is a Saga, but never did anything with it. It'll be cool to see how it plays.

It did feel like putting a bow on the series since there's a lot of impactful lore reveals and it seems unlikely we'll get a sequel.
There's a secret ending that detracts a bit, but... It is what it is.

- The rxn to "punishment push-ups" for misgendering Taash is overblown. It happens one time, does not directly involve MC, and is not instigated by the NB character. It's explained as a tradition of the adventuring company to show contrition. It's kind of sweet.

- The main story beats were cool, but I skipped nearly all dialogue. The companions were just not captivating.
- For a series with Taint, demonic possession, etc., it sure seems like everybody simply trusts MC.
- DA worked in a dark space without being corny. Everything's glossed over.

- It didn't feel very Dragon Age-y. It was awash in high fantasy elements like elven technology and spirit boatmen.
- Racial tensions and templar/mage politics, both longstanding textures of the setting, virtually absent.
- Enemies were samey and one dimensional, sharing movesets.

- Some of the set pieces and action sequences were VERY cool.
- There was a ton of setting-defining lore drops.
- The set-up of six non-competing factions led to a variety of quest themes and a satisfying conclusion that incorporated all of them.
- Character progression felt good.
