Super colorful pattern coming up this week. But it's a customizable pattern -- use as many or as little colors as you want. 👀

How does that work? You'll see. 😉

It's been a very bookish year for me. I've somehow managed to read over 200 books!

Of course by read I do mean listening to audiobooks on 2x while stitching. Some of it while chores, but mostly stitching. So I've done a heck of a lot of stitching so far this year. 👀
Gonna make for a fun recap!

This silly lil guy is now available on Etsy, if you're into that sort of thing. 😆
A bit late for halloween stitching, but honestly skull planters are year round. At least I use mine year round. You do you.

This month's freebie! I've seen these bell shapes around and really wanted to see what it was like.

So I designed a simple little panel design and tried to make it look like iced gingerbread and just went with it. And I think it turned out pretty cute despite the lack of
planning. 😂

I started this project in like, February after spending most of January brainstorming for it. So
naturally it took all year to stitch. 😂
Can't wait to show you this completed project next week despite absolutely no one asking for this lol.

I know it's not even November, but if you want to stitch this holiday band sampler for the holidays this year, it's probably best to start soon. 😂 Took me like 35 hours, at any rate.

I'd like to do another nerdy band sampler like this one day. But what theme? 🤔

Another freebie coming out this weekend. This time I'm trying out a shape I've seen around the internet but never made myself.

I did forget how annoying french knots can be though. Next time? Beads. 😂

The no-glue Flatfold Tutorial should be up on YouTube now! Assuming I got my timezones right 😅

The video quality is meh, but the info is all there and hopefully still useful! Maybe I'll refilm it next time I make one. But I'm not going to unmake this one just for that, sooo. 🤣 youtu.be/LZQyXwDifD8

This month's article is about Holiday gifting -- What to stitch for your loved ones this holiday season?

My favorite type of gift is ornaments! There's so many different styles, are relatively small, and no one has to feel bad for storing them away in the off season 😂

Back look a bit different than the front? That's because this was done on printed aida. So while the front is a cool stormy gray, the back is just white!

It's a lil weird working with printed aida, I kinda get jump scare when I flip it over to tuck in my ends, lol. 😂

Been a while since I did a flatfold. So naturally I had to make a new one! Plus this'll fit in great with my library decor. 🥰

One of my favorite quotesfrom Edgar Allan Poe. Maybe not as
well known as The Raven, but I'm hoping some of you
will know it. 🙂

Good news! I did remember to film myself making this week's flatfold.
Bad news: It's kinda terrible picture quality and I can't re-film it. 😂

I'll still be releasing the tutorial this week, but am apologizing in advance for the footage 🤣

A bit more muted of a color palette than I usually work with! All browns and blues. Not the most exciting palette, but I'm hoping it'll make for a really nice cohesive design.

What kinda visuals do you get from these colors?

I haven't done as much halloween stuff this year, (It's just been so busssyyy) but here's a look back at one of the ones I designed in previous years! And yes it gloes in the dark! 👀

The Alice pattern is now on Etsy! And don't forget there's a video on how I made it into a book!
youtu.be/MzcQUjNnCpU

I'm definitely wanting to make another stitched book.
Dunno when exactly I'll get to it, or which book. But it'll happen.

Y'all! @needlelotdesigns.bsky.social's book is officially up for preorders! I am SO hype for this book, you've no idea.

All the preorder links are over on her website: www.needlelotdesigns.com/pages/fantas...

I learned to knit October last year. And made exactly two hats.

...I've made nothing since. So despite minimal experience, I decided I was an expert already and I should try something new entirely and learn brioche. 😂 I've only had to frog and restart twice! And I learned how to add lifelines lmao.

This week's pattern is also on printed aida. It's so weird to look at up close but it looks wonderfully stormy from a distance. The camera does not pick up the glitter AT ALL though. It is sparkly. I promise. Imagine the sparkle.

Today, the backside of my lost druid. While I wanted those scattered stars and leaves above, I also tried to keep them close enough together to be able to stitch the black outline in one single path without having to jump long distances.
I did have to stop and start again for the stars though. 😂

An interesting lil pattern for you this week, inspired by those skull-shaped planters I kept seeing everywhere.
So here's my take on them, in the style of the small ornament designs. I had a lot of fun stitching that leafy hair!

Been a while since I made a flatfold project. Might be around time to making another! ;)
The tutorial is of course on my website, but I think a video tutorial might be helpful too, so I might film it if I make another!

Another Monday, another color palette. Some nice greens and browns this time around, with a pop of yellow.

A very simple palette, but with hopefully a lot of impact!
October 6, 2025 at 1:04 PM
I love doing smalls like this for holidays as they make such cute ornaments that you can easily display then store once the holiday season is over. 👀
But then I know others enjoy large pieces they can work on all season.
Which do you prefer?
October 2, 2025 at 1:04 PM
This week's WIP shot is just outlines. And you can kinda already see where I'm going with this I think. 😅 👀💀

With shoutouts to BeStitchMe for this gorgeous aida. I'm using 16ct 'Princess'.

This month's website article is all about fraying fabric and the various methods you can use to keep your fabric nice and neat. From machine stitching to hand stitching to adhesives.

Which methods did I miss?
