I had some work done and the dude saw my Phish hoody and said he was from Burlington. I joked about extra gas. He didn’t take it easy, got to a point where I was about to ask to turn it down. 5 minutes later he comes in and turns it off, “Gotta turn this down now, this ain’t lot”

Yeah, it's definitely different. I presume most of the people I interact with didn't pay for Twitter. So we switched in the sense of "I want a product how I want it (i.e. social media) and I'd rather pick the lesser of two evils". Like, I hate Walmart but where am I gonna get a deep fryer?

totally agree that there isn't ethical consumption with capitalism but we are having this discussion on Bluesky since the majority of us boycotted Twitter
