Boris the Incompetent.

Boris won the election on the slogan “Get Brexit Done”. He and his then arrived at the negotiations with a single piece of paper where Barmier had a stack of documents detailing the complexity. It was likely to be a slow puncture but hey it was 'Boris the Incompetent’.

2/ He finds himself taking on a ruthless warlord (Eli Wallach) who is exploiting and abusing Indigenous people. His indifference to his own fate becomes the means by which he can atone. From the pen of Joseph Conrad.

2/ From the pen of Paul Shrader (Taxi Driver) helped by his brother Leonard ( a Japanese expert ). The presence of Ken Takakura adds the sword craft and tradition. Ain’t no bad Mitchum movie.

Never watched. Seems tedious. Box office success films in the main c the occasional faux liberalism e.g. actor who plays a paraplegic or journalist who fights the system etc.

2/ Again a film I have seen over and over on the small screen. The whole thing is almost stolen by their co-star Trigger.

2/ Saw this as a lad on the small screen first in black and white and later in colour. One I could see repetitively. “The vessel with the pestle is the brew that’s true”.

2/ It’s a starry cast and enjoyable. If you can connect to your teenage self you will have fun with it. That Roger Vadim married some stunning women.

I’m at the point of really welcoming that just to stop the incessant Christmas music playing everywhere.

2/ What emerges is a truly original cinematic experience. Perhaps Cinema is the only place we now see in depth documentaries as it demands we extend our attention span. And no adverts…
