we are all alone in this and kinda all being pushed around, frustrated. none of us know what to actually do. but it gives me hope that 3 years ago i wouldn't be making art at all, and the stuff I have made till now would feel impossible to 18 year old me

im not an artist by any means, but all I know is that even through frustration and disability, its about adapting and not becoming stagnant. if piercing through it is the only way, if going around it won't do; then using crutches to go through it is completely valid

maybe you need to take a medium sized crunchy break from drawing and simply study the methods of artists you love, the artists they love(d) and how they learnt their craft? and when you have searched enough, it will be time to make Art again.

to draw like you want to, you gotta just do it. take whatever crutch it takes. trace personally, steal blatantly and THEN decide whether to share it or not. your intent is the only thing that separates going through the motions from Art.
