Family guy, retired MIT techie, political junkie, Rockefeller Republican / Kennedy Democrat from the days when you could be both
Let's do the math.

Seriously? We're still asking this?
The American importer pays the tariffs, and the importer either absorbs the cost or passes it on to the American consumer.
It's that simple.

I was under the impression that non-explosive testing of our mechanisms in addition to computer simulations happens all the time. Did we stop doing that?

And keep them stupid too.

He's no doubt one of those people who puts a plug into every wall socket so the electricity doesn't leak out.

Another beloved banjo player, so appropriate for today. Pete Seeger, for you young-uns.

Haven't been a Dodgers fan since they left Brooklyn, but watching future Hall of Famer Shohei Ohtani at the peak of his career is special.

Dumbest CNN spin headline ever. China has a near monopoly on rare earths and their processing. They have all the leverage. The threat is China's against us.

All these Congressmen, and women, "bristling" and embarrassed about the Speaker's antics.

If just one more of you signs the discharge petition to release the Epstein files, you could all be back in session, and working, this afternoon.

Where's the beef?
And the $17 trillion?
And the $50,000 bag of money?

And the Epstein files?
Or should we say Epstein Trump files?

Photo from the NYT. The temporary resident of our White House has trashed the place with his gaudy trinkets. Can't wait for this lame duck to waddle off into the sunset so we can make the place look respectable again.

From the NYT. If you're thinking that your particular issue was more important than Inflation / Cost of Living in the 24 election, think again.

Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed in 1953 for what they gave to the Russians. Musk and his gang have accessed information that may be just as sensitive. Trouble is, they have fired almost everyone capable of assessing the damage.

Thank you, Gen. CQ Brown. To the military, four stars mean something. They have been earned in a career of service to our country and Constitution. Our Chiefs have made the US military the strongest in the world, and now we are squandering that with political appointments.

Your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free... sounded way too DEI.

The new Evening News! And just the facts, no commentary needed. Use graphics and tie it all together in a 10 minute package that you can post to other outlets too, like YouTube. MSM has failed so miserably in their basic function, so let's help them figure it out!

Forget eggs and milk prices. All I know is that a 12-pack of Coke cans sold for approx $3.50 in 2019. Or $2.00 on sale. That same 12-pack now costs around $9.00. Or $4.00 on sale.
Water, syrup, and packaging. And Coke competitors have the exact same prices.
Simple greed and price collusion, folks.

Ever see one of these? They're everywhere, if you look. On bridges, viaducts, buildings, and all sorts of infrastructure. They represent the legacy of FDR's massive infrastructure program, the WPA. 90 years ago, the WPA created thousands of jobs that helped take us out of the depression...
