I find myself wondering if it could happen in Canada. Sadly, given the amount of misinformation (and disinformation) gaining traction over reporting of facts, I think we could be in the same situation in a few years if we don't solve the proliferation of misinformation.

Dozens of planes also landed in Halifax NS. We shut down my office so we could make comfort kits for passengers who were being placed in emergency accommodations.

Ha! -9C is a spring day in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Heck, we had icebergs blown onto shore in Frobisher Bay shore in August. This poor guy is out of his element.

I lived in Nunavut for several years. I wish every Canadian could at least visit the Canadian Arctic to experience the Inuit culture and the treeless landscape. I loved it there so much!

Yes. From Day 1 of his tenure as PM he has been supportive of the Arctic and aware of its significance. His first trip abroad ended with a stop in Iqaluit before returning to Ottawa. It was extremely symbolic and made me very, very hopeful.
