Morrowind lets you go anywhere, its just designed in a way where you're forced to have the infrastructure knowledge to get there and also survive. Most quests are actually really short, just the real quest is the journey getting there. Which is cool! I feel like future Bethesda could learn from this

I feel like this is why I support no fast travel in Bethesda games. I feel like Oblivion's design is so fucked from it making fast travel available from the start to major cities. It makes it where the game relies on scaling difficulty which is AWFUL.
