When I gave up the Element, the working radio was a massive plus. I had been using a bluetooth speaker and it was very, very lame. My brother actually made fun of me for it.

Towards the end of the campaign, the PCs "wake up" to find out what you've been rolling randomly this whole time. And the "ah-ha" moments are when they find out why all of this weird random stuff happened to them in the Blue City.

However...a more realistic way to do it would be to run a Lacuna game, but have some tables where you roll randomly as to what happens to their characters in the outer world. And those random events (which are secret) can sometimes affect the events of the Blue City.

I think if you really want to do this - you run it as Lacuna. And then, obviously, you run another group as the "outies". But from time to time, things from one world affect the other. For example, a development in the outer world might have a big impact on the Blue City or even a character.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
