SoCal born and where I remain for now. Proud dad. Books, Baseball, Beer and Soccer in no particular order.
This has to be a bit, right? Everything in this post is so confidently wrong that it has to be.

What athlete is making “hundreds of millions of dollars” for a half a year’s work?

Also, what top athlete works only a half a year?

If athletes weren’t paid why they are, billionaires would ….well….have more money than they already do.

Great. Thanks for sharing.

Why are the player salaries ridiculous?

Seems like you’re kind of all over the place here.

I’m not aware of current Dodger ownership asking the tax payers to fund a new stadium.

Are we still complaining about the Dodgers here?

Is this a bit? If so, well done.

Good advice. Wish he would have done the same when he was president. 🤷🏼‍♂️

7 years of remarkable endurance and then last year the wheels started to come off a bit. There were indicators I guess.

The 7 year stretch have to be looked at as an outlier now.

You are wildly off the mark here. Wildly.

On the flip side, do we really believe that the 10-11 owners whose teams have payrolls below that of the NBA floor are going to say “sure, we’ll double our payroll so teams in LA and NY won’t spend”?

Never mind the fact that the system kicks in nearly 1/2 of the CBT taxes into the rev share pool 🤪

I believe 11 MLB teams have payrolls below that of the NBA floor (a sport with far lower revenues)

People actually believe that owners in Pittsburgh, Denver, Cincinnati etc… are going to adopt a system that will have them double their payroll so the Mets can’t spend $1B in an offseason?
