You're right about traditional money being realistically the only way to exchange value at the minute. However, I think we are beginning to transition towards Bitcoin. Good luck!

Generally pro. Bitcoin is a definite. Others, not so much.

Bitcoin doesn't need a government to back it. It's the ultimate democratisation of money. It's backed by its owners. People have been saying what you're saying for a very long time, but it just won't die. I think it can exist alongside traditional currencies. Anyhow, I think I've tried hard enough.

2 months of stability doesn't sound very stable. Debt to GDP is outrageous. Just look about to see the state of the economy. Empty shops, young people can't get onto the property ladder, spiralling debt. Government is practically bankrupt & keeps printing money to kick the can further down the road.

I mean, it is a bubble, one that bursts every 4 years, but Bitcoin, at the very least, is legit. The problem is it's so easy to invest compared to the internet bubble. It definitely needs regulation.

Have to say Peter McCormack had really disappointed me. He always seemed moderate and balanced in his views, even though I didn't agree with him on a lot. He's gone full right wing now, just like Peterson & Rogan.

Bought BTC in 2018 after hearing someone, who may have been Dan Held, on 5Live radio talking passionately about it. Watched it fall & rise & fall & rise, buying more on the way. Listened to multiple podcasts, YouTube videos, etc, to educate myself. And here we are. I'm convinced, at least about BTC.

A highly vocal, highly motivated, militant minority. However, a minority all the same. The number will rise very quickly, then stop dead.

If Bitcoin is nothing, why is it worth nearly $100k? Obviously, a lot of people think it is worth something.

That money is constantly devalued, and it's the people behind the license you need to worry about. Our financial system is broken.

So many ill-informed comments here.

The difference with Bitcoin is that the rules that govern its issuance can't be changed, whereas those that govern your traditional money can.

Just like that piece of paper in your purse or digit on your banking app.

There's an awful lot of anti- crypto sentiment on this platform as if it's politically left to do so. I wish people would do proper research on it & stop jumping on the bandwagon just because Trump is pro crypto. Most crypto will die, but just like the internet bubble, good projects will remain.

Nope. I don't want the other side the same coin. Nuanced and reasonable discourse is what I want.
