Also noted that of the two writers this ep one came from Lower Decks and one came from Disco. I would put money on who is responsible for what here lol.

Yeah after yesterday's I think I might be out. The temperature of the refuse is too high. The bones of a decent episode slathered with a shit gimmick, more terrible "character building", and we wub stawfweet glazing. Ugh.
