Giving in to a force of heinous evil is one thing, but giving in to a force of heinous evil that is also a total goat rodeo is another altogether. It's pretty hard to rationalize the second one as anything but setting yourself up for disaster.

Governing by "dominance" and intimidation, even when doing so makes them look weak and actually weakens their policies. I mean.... it's a choice.

China has been the boogeyman for them since 2016 when Trump first got into office. It's one of the reasons why we should ban Fox as state TV for the US. Folks talking about "freedom of speech" in Canada is the giveaway - we have freedom of expression and it comes with limits.
