We picked one heck of a winter to be our first here! Kid has snowboard lessons at Hyland Hills this week otherwise we would NOT be driving in this - so sketchy.

We just moved in August from Virginia, so maybe my definition of plowed is different-streets completely covered in ice with snow over the top don’t seem “plowed” to me? But I know the top layer of snow was pushed off the top on the main roads. Saw multiple accidents and cars sliding everywhere.

Well, the streets aren’t plowed either based on what I’ve seen so far, ice rinks and bike paths seem to be only cleared surfaces?

We moved here 7 weeks ago, and our 9year old refuses to take a car anywhere. Fully converted by week 2 to going everywhere by bike. We love this city.

Update: 48 hours in, and a commute to and from camp and one ice cream trip later, he asked why people drive when they can ride, and suggested “there should be a law against driving in neighborhoods” 😂 this is on brand as he has objected to every car trip since the one home from the hospital.
