I have one from 1981 that is just about holding together. I doubt I would fit it but have kept it more as a memento. The sad thing is when I pop my clogs I know full well my son will take all of them to the tip 😁

I tell my son I have T Shirts older than him, I actually do. He is 32.

Despite all the listed instruments the sound was getting more minimal. Mark Hollis's solo album took it to the eighth degree. A very stark album but magical in its own way.

I used to have a T Shirt with the artwork on but sadly the print was not very good and it peeled off.

I have this and Metal Box. Surprisingly my metal tin is not as tarnished as some I have seen. I have always wondered how Levene got to be the cover star on this album. Lydon must have kept his ego in check the day they decided on who was going on the cover.

Weather looks good for this time of year

Have you ever tried going by Elephant to compare the two?

Yes, they no longer needed to bow to record company pressure and could make the music they wanted to make.

The last album by the original band before they started to chase the Dollar. I love the first two albums from here on I didn't find the albums were as good. They had their moments but not all the tracks were good.

I thought it was My Nation Underground that Cope wasn't fond of.

My white vinyl is now a dirty grey colour. Like quite a few of those coloured vinyl singles back they have lost their colour. Also it cracks me up when they were allegedly "Limited Edition" and you look on Discogs and you can buy them quite cheaply as there seems to be an abundance of them.

"10" was the nadir of the original Stranglers. I couldn't believe how bad it was. It's no wonder Hugh left after it was released. Communication between him and JJ had broken down and it showed.

For me this is where the sound of Post Punk started. A lot of it had to do with not just the band and their songs but Martin Rushent's production. This and the Raven are the Stranglers strongest albums.

Do you have the free 7" white vinyl single?

Skellington on vinyl was only released in a limited number. It wasn't easy to find at the time. Same as the "Droolian" album which was released at the same time.

Whilst I loved Fried and Saint Julian, this for me is Julian's masterpiece. Also "Skellington" from this same period is great too. He was at the top of his game .

They really upped their game from the debut Pablo Honey on this. For me it will always be their best album.

They are always great nights and people always come up with tracks that you have never heard despite us all having some common ground.

Hopefully not the last Long Ryders albums.

It's all subjective, that is what is great about music. One man's meat is another man's poison. We have regular music nights where five of us get together and we create a playlist with each of us choosing 10 tracks. It generates a lot of talk.

There is no denying "Sanctuary" is a great track but everything else the Cult has done has left me cold.

London or Bristol are about the same distance for me.

I was asked the other day for my top 5 gigs of last year. So hard to narrow down to just 5. The BA's were once again great live and great to see you once again
