Mathematician, trade unionist, cat staff, cornus canadensis stan. I spell badly on both sides of the Atlantic. She/her. Opinions my own. Black lives matter.

Ooh, this textbook sounds intriguing. When might it be done? I might be designing an abstract algebra course to run in 27-28...

I signed up late, and I'm not getting the emails. Is there a link to part 7? I've read 1-6 and I'm DYING not to have 7.

They've now finished their initial goal of a run through all of Anne MacCaffrey's solo-authored Pern novels, but have just announced that they'll come back and do some more episodes for a second season. I'm so glad! And so is my partner, because our home will be cleaner. 5/5

Ever since I discovered this podcast (full name: Dragons Made Me Do It - great name btw) it's been my go-to listen, and the only podcast that will get me to do chores because there's a new ep out and housecleaning is when I listen to podcasts. 4/

What is the dragon population? How does the economy of Pern actually work? How problematic is class in the Pern novels? (Spoiler: very!) 3/

Highly highly recommend this. They take Anne MacCaffrey's Pern novels probably much more seriously than they deserve to be taken, and debate the nitty gritty of all of the details. What is the human population of Pern? (At various points in time!) 2/
