My son’s care over 6.5 years of fighting cancer cost over $1.5M - $2M - 2001-2008. Even with top of the line insurance, we paid $200K of it. It took years to pay that debt off. I can’t imagine what his care would have cost today. And I no idea how we would have paid for it had we not had insurance.
