We tried, but they have old comics - like Donald Duck.

He is into different kind of comic books - try googling "Amulet", "Hilo", "5 Worlds", "City Of Dragons" and "Lightfall".

We already bought all the books we could buy in these series. But there are more...

Daddy has to read bigger books. But comic books he loves to read by himself.

We really loved Wild Robot, first we read all three books and then a cartoon. Also paddington stories and compared them with movies.

Oh cool, I haven't seen any reviews, just randomly stumbled into the product on reddit.

It's nice! Go for it.

If you are really stingy and low on cash - AliExpress has this device for 12 EUR.

But I still recommend buying from an official reseller. They provide good support and its funds feature development.

I have a Kobo reader too, but it felt too big. I really wanted something pocket sized.

This is Xteink x4, still rough around the edges (a lot of missing features), but they actively work on their OS and updates are released often.

But it's a 60 EUR device, so just playing around with it.

I agree about this when it comes to gems. But are ruby core things easy to pick up by random ruby engineers?

Do you have examples?

I see that your guessing, and that again highlights that RC doesn't operate in a transparent manner. And I would never suggest investing in such a black hole, that sucking up money.

There is obviously huge managerial overhead there. how much % of funds do those managers consume of all funds?

I don't argue that conferences are not useful.

But I'm trying to point out, that companies may have a will to support rubygems, but don't have a will to support conferences.

Is that already in a stable branch?

In your post you ask why nobody sponsors ruby central. A company that has been running ruby conferences? They spend money without any accountability.

Even before the latest drama, a lot of people was not happy with the way they operate.

Does history work for you if you use Claude Code inside Zed? I still prefer to bring my API keys.

But at this point, it feels like I'm probably missing out on some non-obvious benefits.
