Mass resignation of the 221 MP’s would have more impact politically. I personally could no longer continue working in an organisation whose leaders have failed to adequately condemn the atrocities unfolding in Gaza. This current labour government is 100% on the wrong side of history.

Remember that the right to seek asylum is enshrined by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 1951 Refugee Convention. It's a good thing!

And punching down on people seeking asylum will help you how? It's tackling the people in private jets that will change most people's circumstances not people escaping war zones and oppressive regimes.

That's a good point my local councillor hasn't updated their Twitter since October 2024 and doesn't appear to have any other SM presence.
