So no, at the end, Ukrainian is not a subdialect of Russian, such as the latest became known in it's current form later on, if you're confused that's alright, it can be confusing, but spoken old east Slavic is not ruthenian, and ruthenian is not Russian, hope that clears things up

I'm saying this to conclude and point out, that the term Ruthenian predates Russian by a margin. And if you don't believe me, which is fair, after all I am but a stranger, you can look up other sources on the web, they're in open availability

Like, you do know that there is a difference between a successor glottonym and a subdialect, Russian ≠ Ruthenian, Russian as a term was coined and borrowed during the reign of Petr I from the Greek word Ρωσία, as a way of legitimizing Russian claims on the at the time newly reduced autonomy

Not sure about your implication, but just that? Which is what both kingdom of galicia-volhynia in the 13th century and grand principality of Rus' after the hadyach treaty in 1658 did, even if the latest wasn't exactly successful and fully implemented

Okay? You just literally said that Ukrainian is a part of one of the branches of the indo-european language family, which is true and I don't think anyone is denying that, Ukrainian is an eastern Slavic language, English and Dutch are a part of the Germanic family. Your point?
