Not every case before the CPC gets a Playbook checklist and honestly, the likelihood that the chair spends the time doing so at long meetings is low. But we will think about how to surface this generally.

Hey, I hear you. We are also required to do certain things in certain ways. I'd love to find ways to add to what we're required to do to make it easier for us to hear and incorporate public comments.

They are supposed to represent the impartial, apolitical voice of the community regarding the physical development of the city. Because they aren't supposed to be lobbied, it's important for them to hear from the community on issues.

If you like the work that your city planners have done, but you don't tell your elected officials, there's a chance that the work doesn't get implemented. Your voice is important in both phases -- doing the work *and* adopting/implementing the work.

And then there's the engagement that happens during the adoption process, letting the officials who make final decisions know that we've collectively gotten it right and they should vote yes.

Anyway, AI doesn’t have any value for me in anything I do. I understand this says something about *what* I do. But also? It’s only practically existed for maybe 18 months. I loved and worked almost 45 years without it so yeah, I’m cool.

Finished my 50th book of the year last week, not counting re-reads & books I abandoned unfinished. Most new books I've read in 3 years in an effort to avoid doomscrolling.
