I just picked up a nice copy of a great Neal Adams issue of Conan the Barbarian #37 from 1974. Roy Thomas adapted the story from a Robert E. Howard Kull of Atlantis story. Spectacular cover and interior artwork.

I saw Andy Bell of Erasure do a solo show in Fort Lauderdale last week. He did an excellent job. Lots of Erasure material, solo songs and a cover of Xanadu from the movie.

My wife and I saw "Garbage" last week. Their last headlining tour. Shirley Manson and the band put on a great show.

Here's a page from Mad magazine #33, from 1957 drawn on Duotint, by the incredible Wally Wood. It's a parody of the movie Marty, featuring Ernest Borgnine and Joe Mantell. It shows how Russia subtitles American Films for propaganda purposes.

My first piece of artwork for the new year is a prelim drawn by Kyle Baker. It's from 1989, and is a rough for James Bond 007 #3 (Titan Press). Not much of a resemblance between this rough and the final cover, but it's a great example of Baker's work from that time.
