No worries, it's a bizarre concept, to say the least. If you're ever interested in reading more on the subject, most of my response is a summary of A Thousand Plateaus by Guattari and Deleuze.

It is not that fascists are interpersonally suicidal. It is that their ideology denies the idea that a human life has value. It has to reject the order it seeks to establish in favor of perpetual crises to justify itself, over and over again, until states and cultures and itself dies.

The nihil of fascism as crisis response is the rejection of egalitarian to address any issue in favor of necropolitics - kill the homeless instead of building homes, kill the immigrants your foreign policy made emigrate. Kill yourself instead of confronting capitalism, to prove that it is unfixable.

A basic idea of the fascist death drive is that its suicidal tendencies *are* narcissistic. Fascism disagrees with the idea that life is intrinsically valuable. Its solution to crisis is to kill mass amounts of people while simultaneously prolonging crises to justify its own existence.

A friend of mine once referred to Helena as "the John the Baptist of the Third Reich" and it's a phrase that's stuck with me ever since.
