Enjoying this fleeting, temporary ride on this seemingly fairly small yet amazing rock. We only get one go at it, might as well make it as worthwhile!
To think: the entirety of human existence, from our genius and benevolence to our hatred and bigotry, all evolved out of the chaos of the early solar system. A mere 4.6 billion years and here we are, riding this rock that made us, often arguing who’s magical sky fairy is real.

This gingko is in the town close to where I live. Every fall, I can help but think it becomes a traffic accident waiting to happen in the afternoon when the slanted sunlight absolutely lights up its golden leaves. It is, in a word, stunning.
